Abstract

In learning Indonesian Language and Literature, there are many teaching methods, one of which is by using popular song teaching materials that are favored by students. Song lyrics are considered as part of the technique in learning and have long been applied in the world of education. A song has complete content with a combination of words, grammar, and other language skills. In song lyrics, there is often the use of majas to make the song more interesting and beautiful, one way is to express feelings implicitly. The use of these songs was chosen because of the enthusiasm of the listeners who are teenagers who are high school age. The purpose of this research is to analyze the lyrics of Indonesian songs that contain majas, then associated with learning materials at school. The research method used is qualitative research method and descriptive in nature. The focus of this research is to examine the repetition and rhyme forms in song lyrics. Data collection techniques that will be used are notes from the results of song lyrics and documentation of song lyrics analyzed. Researchers use qualitative research with content analysis because content analysis is used to examine text, images or symbols, and documents. In the process of data analysis, the knife used is the study of stylistics. The results of the research are expected to help teachers and students in learning and using majas for beauty and depth of meaning in poetry.
