The development of digital technology has influenced various aspects of life, including in the fields of education and Indonesian language teaching. The digital era presents opportunities as well as challenges for educators in implementing innovative and relevant methods and strategies. This article aims to examine the impact of the digital era on Indonesian language teaching, especially in the aspects of using digital technology as a learning medium, developing digital literacy, and implementing online learning platforms. Using qualitative-descriptive methods, this article analyzes the role of digital technology in improving students' literacy and communication skills. The findings show that the use of digital technology can increase students' learning motivation and interactivity, but also requires readiness from both educators and students to face digital literacy challenges and other technical obstacles. In conclusion, teaching Indonesian in the digital era must be supported by adaptive education policies and special training for educators to maximize the benefits of digital technology in improving the quality of teaching.
