Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has officially turned into an endemic since July 2022. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is still being felt today and Indonesia is heading towards accelerating recovery and rising stronger. This study was made to compare the financial performance of the banking industry pre and post-Covid-19. The financial performance used is Return on Assets (ROA), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), Operating Expenses, and Operating Income (BOPO). using the Wilcoxon signed rank test and independent t test, we found that there were significant negative differences in1 financial performances, namely NPF with a significance value of 0.002 before and after Covid-19. Meanwhile, there is no difference between ROA and BOPO both before and after Covid-19. This study provides an overview of the impact of Covid-19 on the banking industry.
