Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the world of education, one of them is a change in learning methods from face-to-face learning to distance learning. However, two years have passed and the government has introduced face-to-face learning again. This phenomenon will certainly cause challenges not only for lecturers but also for students as participants in the world of higher education. This very rapid change in learning methods causes students to experience academic stress. Academic stress felt by students has an impact on student engagement which results in decreased learning motivation during the learning process, such as lack of concentration in learning, understanding the material, piling up assignments, and interactions with lecturers and peers. Therefore, to overcome academic stress and increase student engagement during distance learning, students need academic resilience. Resilience is an individual's ability to be able to cope with stress and can predict student engagement. This literacy study was used to determine the relationship between academic resilience and student engagement during the transition from online to offline caused by Covid-19. The conclusion from this literature review is that resilience that changes from time to time as a function of individual development and interaction with the environment can affect student engagement during the transition from distance learning to face-to-face or classical learning again in Covid-19 pandemic era.
