ANALISA FAKTOR PENYEBAB PERUBAHAN EFISIENSI BOILER PADA BEBAN 300 MW DENGAN BAHAN BAKAR LOW RANK COAL PADA BOILER UNIT 10 PT. PLN NUSANTARA POWER UP REMBANG

Abstract

Boiler merupakan salah satu komponen utama pada sistem PLTU yaitu sebagai penghasil uap, maka performa boiler harus diajaga agar produksi uap maksimal, apabila terjadi permasalahan pada sistem boiler maka dapat menghambat kinerja dan energi yang dihasilkan. Boiler unit 10 di di PT. PLN Nusantara Power Unit Pembangkit Rembang beroperasi dari tahun 2011 jadi sudah cukup lama boiler beroperasi sehingga unjuk kerjanya mengalami banyak penurunan. Dengan kondisi ini perlu dilakukan pengkajian tentang studi dan analisis unjuk kerja boiler, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab perubahan efisiensi boiler dan upaya untuk mereduksi nilai losses akibat moisture in fuel, yaitu dengan metode blending dengan rasio 25% LRC: 75% MRC dan 50% LRC: 50% MRC. Dari hasil perhitungan dan analisa diketahui faktor penyebab perubahan efisiensi boiler yaitu kerugian yang cukup besar pada gas buang kering 6,888%, moisture pada pembakaran H2 sebesar 4,010%, dan moisture pada batubara sebesar 5,632%. Selain itu presentase exces air juga mempengaruhi perubahan efisiensi boiler, terlihat pada campuran batubara 75% LRC:25% MRC memiliki presentase exces air 33,887%, yang seharusnya dapat meningkatkan efisiensi boiler namun dengan tingginya presentase exces air justru efisiensi boiler mengalami penurunan. Metode blending juga mampu mereduksi nilai loses akibat moisture in fuel sebesar 0,6%.

ABSTRACT

The boiler is one of the main components in the PLTU system, namely as a steam producer, so the boiler performance must be maintained so that maximum steam production, if there is a problem in the boiler system it can hamper the performance and energy produced. Boiler unit 10 at PT. PLN Nusantara Power Unit Rembang Power Plant has been operating since 2011 so that the boiler has been operating for quite a long time so that its performance has decreased a lot. With this condition, it is necessary to conduct an assessment of the study and analysis of boiler performance, with the aim of determining the factors causing changes in boiler efficiency and efforts to reduce the value of losses due to moisture in fuel, namely by blending method with a ratio of 25% LRC: 75% MRC and 50% LRC: 50% MRC. From the results of calculations and analysis, it is known that the factors causing changes in boiler efficiency are considerable losses in dry flue gas of 6.888%, moisture in H2 combustion is 4.010%, and moisture in coal is 5.632%. In addition, the percentage of water exces also affects changes in boiler efficiency, seen in the coal mixture 75% LRC: 25% MRC has a percentage of water exces of 33.887%, which should be able to increase boiler efficiency but with the high percentage of water exces, boiler efficiency decreases. The blending method is also able to reduce the value of losses due to moisture in fuel by 0.6%.
