Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word (*.DOCX) document file format.
  • The text is written in English or Bahasa Indonesia and meets this journal's formatting requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Have at least 15 references with 80% of original research article (Journals).
  • Use references published on the last 5 years.
  • Use reference manager e.g. Mendeley or others when managing the references.
  • IMPORTANT! -> When entering the submission's metadata on this website (Step 3 of the submission), name ALL authors of the paper. For more than one, use the "Add Contributor" button. Take care of the order of the authors. First of all, enter the first author. This is not only an annoying formality. If you don't give all authors they won't be listed in various indexing services and won't appear in the TOC of the printed version!
  • In the next step, fill in the "Affiliation" field, even if it is not marked with an asterisk. Please give the complete postal address of your institute.

Author Guidelines

A. Introduction

Theta Omega :Journal of Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Technology publishes 2 issues per year (April and October). The aim of Theta Omega is to publish high-quality articles dedicated to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of electrical enginnering, computer  and information technology from authors world-wide.

B. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of Theta Omega :Journal of Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Technology must be

  1. Article should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
  2. The length of the submitted paper is at least 7 pages and no more than 12 pages in A4 (210x297 mm) paper.
  3. Use a tool such as Zotero or Mendeley for reference management and formatting.
  4. At least 15 references with 80% coming from the original research article (Journal).
  5. Use references published on the last 5 years.
  6. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the Theta Omega template (MSWord).

C. Structure of the Manuscripts

The manuscript must be prepared and suggested present following the structure:

  • Title : The title should be concise and indicate the identity of the subject, the research objectives, and keywords.
  • Author name : The author's name without academic degrees and not preceded by the word "by" followed by the name of the institution, address of institution and contact email.
  • Abstract : abstract should be written in English, ranging between 100-200 words. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, research materials and methods, the principal results, and major conclusions. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. For this reason, References should be avoided, but if essential, then cite the author(s) and year(s). Also, non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself. The abstract is written using Times new roman font 9 pt in a single column format. Keywords are written below the text of the abstract and separated by comma. Keywords should be written using Times New Roman font 9 pt.
  • Keyword : Use keywords can describe the content of article. It is written in 3 to 5 words.
  • Introduction : Basically, in the introduction provides general background research, literature review (state of the art), originality of research (gap analysis), and research objectives. In the literature review, there are at least five articles reviewed briefly that can justify the novelty of the research.
  • Research Method : In the methods section provides a summary of the methods used, such as the subjects studied, tools and materials used, model or design used, sampling technique, the measured variable, analysis and statistical models used.
  • Result : In the results section contains the presentation of the results of research can be illustrated using tables or figures to clarify the presentation of the results verbally. The data presented is data that is processed, not raw data.
  • Discussion : material discussion mainly concerned, whether the results are consistent with the hypothesis or not, and put forward the argument.
  • Conclusion : write the conclusions of the research that has been done and future works. The conclusion must answer the purpose of the study or hypothesis. Write the conclusion briefly and clearly. Do not discuss again at the conclusion. Do not use Bullet / Numbering.
  • Acknowledgements: Collate acknowledgements in a separate section at the end of the article before the references and do not, therefore, include them on the title page, as a footnote to the title or otherwise. List here those individuals who provided help during the research (e.g., providing language help, writing assistance or proof reading the article, etc.).
