SCREENING PLAGIARISM

THETA OMEGA : Journal Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Technology Editorial board recognizes that plagiarism is not acceptable and therefore establishes the following policy stating specific actions (penalties) upon identification of plagiarism/similarities in articles submitted for publication in Theta Omega. Theta Omega will use Turnitin originality checking software as the tool in detecting similarities of texts in article manuscripts and the final version articles ready for publication. If the article exceeds the maximum limit of 25%, the article will be returned to the author for correction and resubmission.

PLAGIARISM DEFINITION

Plagiarism is the “stealing and publication” of another author’s language, thoughts, ideas, and expression which is claimed as one’s own original work.

PLAGIARISM CHECK

The journal Theta Omega is to make sure that the journal is not the result of plagiarism before publication by checking it using Turnitin checking software. Turnitin is used to detect instances of overlapping and similarities of the article. The maximum limit on the plagiarism applied in the THETA OMEGA is 25% and if the manuscript submitted exceeds 25 % of plagiarism, the manuscript will be rejected without review. The authors are advised to revise it and resubmit the article.

MANUSCRIPT ORIGINALITY

The authors should confirm that the article has not been submitted to peer review, nor is in the process of peer reviewing, nor has been accepted for publishing in another journal. The author(s) should also confirm that the research in their work is original, and that all the data given in the article are real and authentic. If necessary, the article can be recalled, and errors corrected.
